This is a blog for giving out thanks to mother earth. We at Tvachamrit Handcrafted Skincare depend on the earth for our EVERYTHING! Right from our raw materials to our packaging. So we thought, what better day to thank her than today!!
As a gesture of love for our mother earth, we want to educate our readers on what we at Tvachamrit Handcrafted Skincare do, and suggest what our readers can do, at an individual level to minimize the use of plastic.
So, as we all know, Plastic is non-biodegradable, which means that even if it’s kept for a million years, it will not erode. Now, we all are well aware of that fact, but still, plenty of us, whether directly or indirectly, use plastic in our daily lives.
SO what can you do at an individual level to decrease its usage? Here are a few suggestions: 1) Start using cloth bags for your everyday chores and grocery runs 2) Start carrying your own cutlery to food stalls/ restaurants that use plastic spoons, forks, and plates. Use your own steel straws for drinks. 3) Carry your own glass/ copper water bottle with you. 4) Use reusable and re-sealable silicone bags or glass jar bottles to store food. 5) Use body products that are packaged in glass/ metal bottles or cases. 6) Use packaging-free soap bars as cleansers. 7) For cleansing and scrubbing the body, use natural exfoliators such as sugar or salt granules. 8) Use bio-degradable skincare products.
We at Tvachamrit Handcrafted Skincare understand the grave threat that plastic poses to our ecosystem and try our best to reduce its usage.
We are glad and proud to point out that all our packaging is 100% reusable and recyclable. Right from our glass bottle, to the metal cap, to the eco-friendly printed labels and boxes, all the materials used to pack a Tvachamrit Handcrafted Skincare product are 100 percent biodegradable.
Further, the exfoliators used by us are only sugar, salt, or fruit-based. These dissolve in water and do not cause any garbage or waste build-up unlike synthetic scrubs wherein plastic beads are used for exfoliation.
We hope you will give our suggestions some serious thought and try to inculcate these into your daily lives.
Stay blessed, loved, and happy! Don’t forget to give your gratitude and love to mother earth this Earth’s Day on 22nd April!!
